Iranian feature ‘Castle of Dreams’ to vie at Slemani fest

Iranian feature ‘Castle of Dreams’ is to vie at the Slemani Int’l filmfest in Iraq.

Directed by Reza Mirkarimi, Iran’s ‘Castle Of Dreams’ has been selected to vie at the 4th Slemani International Film Festival in Iraq.

A short synopsis for the film reads “Jalal Moradi, a 42-year-old father of two, kills a family in an accident. In the court of law, the murder is recognized as accidental killing without intent. After getting out of prison, he leaves his wife and kids and moves to another city. Two years later, he must go back to his hometown as his wife is brain-dead.”

The film’s cast members include Hamed Behdad, Mohammad Asgari, Zhila Shahi, Akbar Ayeen, Azadeh Nobahar, Mohammad Ashkanfar, Youna Tadayyon, and Niyousha Alipour.

A total of 154 films from 78 countries will take part at the festival.

It is worth to mention that Iranian filmmaker Pouran Derakhshandeh has been chosen as a member of the festivals jury panel.

The 4th Slemani International Film Festival is slated for October 1-7, 2019 in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq.
